Another way to save time and money on your landscaping is to use stamped concrete instead of paving stones for patios, poolside, driveways and walkways. Paving stones are purchased individually and placed individually, with all of the attached digging, base creation, and leveling. Concrete slabs are poured into frames and allowed to dry to a smooth, even surface. You can have the appearance of stone or paving stones by simply having the poured concrete stamped with a design of your choice before it dries. Adding a little pigment to the concrete can even give you the color of brick or cobbles. You can see the various types of stamps that can be applied to concrete in many home improvement stores or by asking your concrete sub-contractor. You should have enough variety to choose from to find a design that is perfect for your landscape and the style of your house.
