Buying carpet remnants is also a wonderful way to save money on your project. Carpet remnants result when there is carpet left from a large roll because the entire roll was not needed for a job. The size of remnants can vary widely. You might find a large enough remnant to do all the carpeting needed for your project. Alternatively, you might find a large enough remnant to do a single room, or a room and a hallway. Again, you will need to spend some time on the phone, checking with dealers, flooring contractors or carpet manufacturers. You will probably find that the savings is well worth your time. The job will be easier if you can be flexible about the color and texture of the carpet.
