 A great way to save on the cost of new appliances is to make your purchases at a scratch and dent sale. You can find virtually any appliance at the right scratch and dent sale. These items will have small dents or scratches on them that make it impossible for the retailer to sell them at full price. Some of these flaws or the damage is so slight it is difficult to identify. When you shop, just keep in mind where you plan to place the new appliance in your home. If there is a scratch or dent on the side of a range, for example, it will never show if you have cabinets or other appliances on both sides of the range.
