 Many architectural and design items (as well as decorative items) are sold in designer showrooms at significantly reduced prices - often up to 50% off to professionals. These trade discounts are seldom available to the general public. Some of these showrooms will sell only to professionals. Others, however, will allow you to make purchases if you are accompanied by a professional. Ask a designer to take you to some showrooms and either make your purchases or ask the designer to make the purchase on your behalf. If you do this, just be sure to repay the designer immediately. Showrooms will also be a terrific source of the very latest styles, designs and materials.
