Tip #106: Add sound board on interior/bathroom walls - costs more but deadens the sound

One of the things most of us hate is hearing someone who is using the bathroom - or being heard. For less than $100 additional cost when you remodel your bathroom, you can install sound board on the bathroom walls. This board is specifically designed to deaden sounds and it works quite well. You may also want to reduce sound from other rooms in your home. Installation of sound board in a laundry room, for example, means you don't have to hear the sounds of your washer and dryer. You might also want to install sound board around a home office either to reduce the sound of office machines or to provide privacy. You can also save your hearing and your sanity by adding sound board to a teen's bedroom so the music isn't quite as loud in the rest of the house. Sound board installation is also a great idea in workshops and hobby rooms, as well as home theaters, music rooms and play rooms.
